Exhibitions & Interpretation
Over the years, we have put on some major historical exhibitions: Treasures, Created in Somerset, The Ornate & Beautiful and Snapshots in Time: Mapping Wells. Our last exhibition, Palace 800, relating the Palace’s history up to the present day has now been archived.
The Palace now has a room dedicated to the Coronation and the former Drawing Room is now known as Bishop Wynne Willson’s Study, bringing to life one of our many Bishops. These two rooms contain information and artefacts to bring the Palace’s history alive.
In 2025 new audio-visual devices were introduced and are available for all visitors within the ticket price; these will take visitors on a story-telling journey around the Palace. Two versions are available and scripts for each can be accessed here:
