Garden
The Bishop’s Palace Garden is a major West Country attraction and always receives high levels of praise in our annual visitor surveys. The standards achieved within the garden could not possibly be accomplished without our garden volunteers. Visitors also spontaneously mention how helpful and knowledgeable they have found garden volunteers to be. If you have a passion for plants, flowers and all things edible, want to start or develop your gardening skills and knowledge or just want to be outdoors, then our garden volunteer role may be just the thing for you. Or you might want to get involved in the Community Garden with this role.
Here are the risk assessments for this role.
The picture below is of David (in the foreground), one of our garden volunteers, and of Dan Vidler (in the background) who was the person responsible for the idea and inspiration behind the original poppy installation in 2018. They are busy ‘planting’ the poppies for the 2021 commemoration.
