The Gardens

The Gardens are a huge attraction to visitors from all over the country and many come because they have heard about it from friends and family, seen it on television or read about it in the press, in magazines and on-line. Many are interested in what trees and plants are grown here, some want to know about the history of The Gardens, and facts and stories relating to the wells are of interest to lots of our visitors, too.

AIn this section of the site, you will find information to help you develop your knowledge.

In addition, an interactive map of the Garden has been developed by Anna Challenger-Mills, our trainee gardener. This provides a huge amount of information including details of plants, garden structures, building history, location of facilities such as toilets. You can access the map here or scan this QR code to view on your phone
