How can I purchase tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online at www.bishopspalace.org.uk/party or at the event gate (if available). We recommend purchasing tickets in advance to guarantee entry and avoid long lines.

Are Historic House cards and Gardener’s World 2 for 1 vouchers valid for this event?

No, Historic House cards and Gardener’s World 2-for-1 vouchers are not valid for this event. A Party at the Palace ticket must be purchased in advance.

Where can I park?

There are a number of car parks only a short walk away from the Palace, including Palace Fields parking, located at the top of Silver Street.

Is the event all-ages?

Yes, the event is open to all ages. However, some performances may contain adult language. Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Can I bring any pets?

We kindly ask that you leave pets at home, as they are not permitted at Party at the Palace due to the nature of the event.

What should I bring with me?

  • Suggested items to bring:
    • Tickets (printed or digital)
    • Valid ID (for age verification, if needed)
    • Sunscreen and a hat for sun protection
    • Comfortable shoes (the event is outdoors, so prepare for walking or standing)
    • A refillable water bottle (water refill stations will be available)
    • Blanket or camp chair for seating
    • Cash or card for food, merchandise, and parking (if applicable)

Will there be food and drinks available?

Yes, a variety of food stalls and a large bar will be available on-site offering a selection of food, snacks, and beverages, including non-alcoholic options.

Alcohol may be available for purchase by attendees 18 and over.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Yes, you can bring your own food and drink, but please note the no Glass rule.

Is there parking available at the venue?

There is no parking available on site. The nearest car park is Palace Fields – £5 for the day.

Is there camping available for this event?

No, there isn’t camping available on site, however, there are plenty of brilliant local camping and caravan sites, and hotels close to the event venue.

Wells City Band is considered one of the oldest brass bands in the country. Formed in 1839 the band has been serving the community of Wells, its surrounding villages, and towns for over 180 years. Across three centuries Wells City Band has been performing annually at the City’s important civic occasions such as The Royal British Legion Remembrance Concert and services, Mayor’s making ceremony and concert, Jubilee and other national commemorative events, carnival parade as well as in local care homes, schools, summer concerts on the Wells bandstand and traditional carolling.
