Party at the Palace returns this July with three days of live music, family entertainment and summer celebration at The Bishop’s Palace in Wells, Somerset.

Set within the grounds of the Palace, one of Somerset’s most historic venues, the event brings together headline performances, tribute shows and a dedicated kids pop party. With something for every age and taste, Party at the Palace 2026 is one of the biggest music events in Wells!

Capacity is limited across all events, so early booking is strongly recommended! Here’s what to expect …

Kick off the weekend with a feel-good evening of live music as the Country Superstars Theatre Tour comes to Wells.

This award-winning tribute show celebrates the music of Dolly Parton and her legendary friends, featuring a full live band and an acclaimed cast. With roots in London’s West End and international touring success, this is a must-see night for country music fans!

Saturday is the heart of the weekend. Headlining is East 17 (21:15 – 22:00); in 1990 this band was one of the most popular boy bands in the UK selling over 18 million records worldwide.

They’re joined by Dave Finnegan’s Commitments (19:15- 20:45); the man himself from the blockbuster 90s film featuring the instantly recognisable horn section and a sweet soul rhythm section. Liverpool pop sensation and Eurovision runner-up Sonia (18:00 – 18:45) will be joining the party. Plus Wells City Band (15:15 – 16:15) and Somerset-based band In Like Flynn (16:30 – 17:45) will be part of our exciting line up for Saturday.

Move over grown-ups – its time for the kids to party! Get ready for a dazzling explosion of music, dance and excitement as Pop Queens Live takes to the stage!

Join us for the ultimate pop party and celebrate the biggest hits from the hottest artistes of the moment. ‘Shake it Off’ to Taylor Swift; sing along to ‘Flowers’ with Miley Cyrus; become a ‘Vampire’ with the fabulous Olivia Rodrigo and ‘Please Please Please’ give us more with the unstoppable Sabrina Carpenter.

Hosting Party at the Palace 2026 is comedian and presenter Emilie-Kate Owen. A familiar voice to listeners of Radio Jackie 107.8fm Breakfast Show, at night she can be found on the comedy stages of Up The Creek and The Comedy Store or hosting events at The Ritz, The Dorchester and other major venues across Europe. Her quick wit, infectious energy, and love of music make her one of the most dynamic presenters in the UK today.

What is Party at the Palace?

Party at the Palace is a three-day live music event held in Wells, Somerset, featuring tribute performances, a headline live music night and a dedicated family pop concert.

 

Where does the event take place?

All events take place within the grounds of The Bishop’s Palace in the centre of Wells.

 

Is Party at the Palace suitable for families?

Yes. Sunday’s Kids Party at the Palace is designed specifically for families, with earlier timings and family ticket options. Children are also welcome at the Friday and Saturday events, with child tickets available.

 

Do I need a ticket for each day?

Yes. Tickets are sold separately for each day, allowing you to choose which events you would like to attend.

 

Are tickets refundable?

No. All Party at the Palace tickets are non-refundable.

 

Will there be food and drink available?

Yes! We’ll have a variety of food stalls and a large on-site bar available each night offering a selection of food, snacks and beverages, including non-alcoholic options.

East 17 will be on stage from 9.15pm – 10pm
