Fun and Games at the Palace Exhibition
August 2026 | Located in the Conference Room
Step back in time and rediscover the many joyful, quirky and unforgettable moments that have taken place at The Bishop’s Palace over the years in our new community exhibition, Fun and Games at the Palace.
From moat boat races and community celebrations to special family days out and treasured personal memories, this exhibition celebrates the Palace as a place where memories are made.
Unlike a traditional exhibition, Fun and Games at the Palace will be shaped by our community. We’ve invited people to contribute their own photographs, memorabilia and stories to help create a shared celebration of the events and experiences that have brought generations together.
Community Engagement Manager Siobhan Goodwin said: “We know the Palace holds a special place in so many people’s hearts. This exhibition is all about celebrating those shared experiences; the laughter, the creativity and the sense of community that has always been part of this place.”
During the exhibition there will be an opportunity to record your own special memories with our oral history volunteers.
This exhibition has been made possible by the generous support of Museum Development South West Small Grants Scheme.
