Experience a Real Medieval Re-enactment This Summer

Taking place in the stunning setting of our medieval Great Hall ruins and award-winning RHS partner gardens, this immersive three-day medieval event offers something for everyone — from curious kids to history-loving grown-ups.

Watch as medieval re-enactment and combat specialists Bowlore bring history to life with:

Family-Friendly Activities and Living History

Explore The Black Dog, Bowlore’s interactive weapons and armour tent. Discover medieval life up close, handle replica items, and ask questions of the expert team, who are always happy to share their fascinating knowledge.

This is a brilliant opportunity for children to learn through play, with plenty of photo opportunities and unforgettable moments throughout the day.

Entry and Tickets

Bowlore Medieval Weekend is included with all general admission tickets to The Bishop’s Palace and Gardens.  HHA cards and Gardeners’ World 2-4-1 vouchers are also valid for this event.
