Theatre

Each year, the Bishop’s Palace hosts a range of outdoor theatre events for all during the summer season (June – August). Children are very welcome, and guests bring picnics and drinks, making these evenings a real highlight of the Bishop’s Palace year. Most importantly, the shows go on whatever the weather!

Were looking forward to the following productions at The Bishop’s Palace in the summer season:

July

12th, 13th, 15th: Wells Theatre Company presents  ‘King Lear’ by Shakespeare

29th: The Lord Chamberlain’s Men present  ‘The Tempest’ by Shakespeare

August

12th: Theatre Pantaloons present ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ by Oscar Wilde

23rd: Boxtree Productions presents an adaptation of ‘Treasure Island’ by Robert Louis Stevenson

Tickets for King Lear are now available online here (including tickets with BBQ). We also have standard tickets available via the Palace Shop (01749 988111 ext 205)
