After last year’s successful public art event, ART 360, which took place on Cathedral Green, 2018 will see the return of this celebration of art.
The event encourages artists of all ages and all abilities to come and paint any of the 360 degree views from the grass beside the shop and café in the free area of The Bishop’s Palace.
You could paint the palace building, the ruins of the banqueting hall, the drawbridge entrance with its ancient accommodation, the majestic trees that adorn the grounds, the people enjoying the beauty of the buildings or those sitting outside enjoying a coffee in the summer sun.
Paint, paper, brushes, pens and pencils will be provided for children but other artists are encouraged to bring their own materials.
The aim of the afternoon is simply to celebrate art, the majesty of The Bishop’s Palace and combine the two for enjoyment in one of the best settings in the city.
This event is run by the Civic Society, in partnership with the Palace.

This event will not take place if the weather is wet.
