Theatre

Each year, the Bishop’s Palace hosts a range of outdoor theatre events for all during the summer season (June – August). Children are very welcome, and guests bring picnics and drinks, making these evenings a real highlight of the Bishop’s Palace year. Most importantly, the shows go on whatever the weather!

We are looking forward to the following productions at The Bishop’s Palace in the summer season:

July

12th, 13th, 15th: Wells Theatre Company presents Shakespeare’s  ‘King Lear

29th: The Lord Chamberlain’s Men present Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest

August

12th: The Pantaloons present ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ by Oscar Wilde

23rd: Boxtree Productions presents an adaptation of ‘Treasure Island’ by Robert Louis Stevenson
