‘Snapshots in Time: Mapping Wells’ - Historical Exhibition
6th May - 30th September 10:00am - 4:00pm
An exhibition in conjunction with Wells & Mendip Museum and Wells City Archives.
This new exhibition at The Bishop’s Palace will take two significant, historical maps of Wells; the Simes plan of 1735 and the 1860 Town Sewerage Plan as snapshots in time to help us to explore what life was like in this city in the 18th and 19th centuries and to uncover some of Wells’ lost or hidden landmarks.
Please note, the exhibition may occasionally be closed due to private functions at The Palace. Please click here for further details on opening hours.
