Outdoor Theatre: A Midsummer Night’s Dream

The Lord Chamberlain’s Men are joining us once again, presenting their authentic version of Shakespeare’s sparkling comedy ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.

Celebrating 425 years since the original company was created, and the 15th birthday of the modern troupe, this brilliant company will perform Shakespeare as he intended it to be seen; all male, in the open air and in full Elizabethan costume with traditional music and dance.

Enjoy this supernatural comedy of mischievous fairies, confused lovers and rude mechanicals in an intoxicating tale of clarity found from chaos, as tangled love gives way to happily ever afters!

Starts 6:30pm. 

Tickets: Adult £16.50, Child £10, Family (2 adults 2 children) £45. Tickets are now available via phone (01749 988111) or the Palace Visitor Centre (formerly the Palace Shop) 

Audiences are invited to bring a picnic blanket or low-backed seating along with their own picnic and drinks. The performances will take place regardless of the weather, so do bring wet weather clothing.
