Heritage Skills: Stained Glass Making

Come and enjoy learning new skills in a stained glass workshop. You will take home a beautiful finished piece, or pieces, of stained glass.

During the course, you will be taught to cut glass, solder, design and construct a panel of your choice. You can be creative, or work from a set panel, learning all the techniques required to complete a project.

Tools will be provided for the sessions but advice will be given on what tools and materials to purchase for the project.*

You will need some arm strength to undertake this course - contact The Bishop’s Palace if you have any queries about this. Suitable for beginners and intermediates.

Course tutor: Richard Pelham, a stained glass craftsperson of 32 years experience

*Typical costs of materials for an A4 sized panel are £15-50 depending on complexity and type of glass eg machine made or mouth-blown. Basic tools vary in price from £20- 30 and all materials can be bought online from a number of suppliers.
