Join James Cross, Head of Gardens and Property, for a Rose Pruning Masterclass. With over 15 years experience at the Bishop’s Palace, James Cross is the perfect guide for your Rose Pruning adventure.
Learn how to keep your roses healthy and blooming beautifully on this half-day course which will guide you through pruning techniques for different rose types, see how roses are used in the Palace Gardens and give you chance to have a go at pruning under the expert guidance of our gardeners.
What to bring:
The workshop begins at 9.30am and will run until 12.30pm. A tea and cake break is provided.
Please wear sensible outdoor clothing for all weathers.

Winter Border Masterclass
In this masterclass you will learn which plants are best for winter colour and shape, get a practical demonstration of winter pruning and have a tour of the Palace Gardens with our expert gardeners Head Gardener, James Cross, and Senior Gardener, Aron Clay for an exploration of all things relating to a winter garden.
Tea/Coffee and lunch is provided as part of this full day workshop. Appropriate outdoor clothing for all weathers required.
