Wedding Fair at The Bishop’s Palace and Gardens

Note to Wedding Fair attendees: The Wedding Fair will be open from 11am until 3pm; please remember to bring your email confirmation with you and head to the Palace building on arrival.

Some of our wedding suppliers will be located on the ground floor and some will be upstairs in the Long Gallery.

We’re throwing open our doors to show off this stunning medieval wedding reception venue and 14 acres of RHS partner gardens to couples at a new Wedding Fair on Sunday 15th October 2023.

A selection of wedding suppliers will be on hand with a range of fantastic ideas and inspiration for the big day, as well as some delicious samples from our catering partner The French Kitchen.

Tours of the event spaces and the grounds are on offer. Staff will also be on hand to assist with any questions and wedding inspiration giving couples the perfect opportunity to see just how beautiful the venue will be. We can also discuss the options of marquee weddings including providing a bespoke quote for your special day.

Free admission and free glass of prosecco on arrival will also be on offer!

The Bishop’s Palace as a wedding venue

Steeped in history, The Palace and Gardens sit at the heart of the historical and medieval city of Wells.

With the moat surrounding The Palace, offering the tranquil sounds of flowing water, the stunning backdrop of Wells Cathedral, picturesque willow bridge and seasonal flowers and plants all year round. It provides the most beautiful space for you and your friends and family to gather.

The Palace’s Undercroft boasts a magnificent, vaulted ceiling and stained-glass windows. Lit with candles, it provides the ideal intimate atmosphere for your celebratory wedding breakfast.
