Dr Kevin Brown FSA


Kevin Brown is a researcher, who studied archaeology at Durham and Oxford Universities and held a Leverhulme Scholarship at Stockholm University whilst doing doctoral research in early medieval archaeology.

He has worked in the historic environment, museums and cultural fields; operating in the public, private and charitable sectors. At English Heritage, Kevin was the Stonehenge Project Director, having previously been South West Regional Director.

More recently he has been chief executive of the Diocese of Gloucester: directing the provision of support to 380 parishes and their licensed ministers, oversight of the diocesan governance structure and the management of its assets.

Kevin is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London and also serves as a Governor of Bishop Grosseteste University, Lincoln.
