£25,000 to £26,500 per annum, depending on experience

40 hours per week (including weekends, Bank Holidays and some evenings)

As a charitable organisation, The Bishop’s Palace and Gardens seeks to welcome everyone to come and enjoy their beautiful gardens. Set within the gardens is The Bishop’s Table which serves locally-sourced homemade food and drinks and has one of the best views in Wells.

We are looking for innovative and creative Sous Chef to assist the Head of Catering in delivering a quality service whilst maintaining the highest standards of food service and creating a positive team atmosphere and customer environment. The Bishop’s Table is thriving business that continues to be busy and offers good job security.

As our ideal candidate you should:

  • City & Guild 7061/7062 or NVQ Level 1 & 2
  • Previous experience working in busy catering environments and producing food to order
  • Experience of maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Excellent communications skills, a proactive and positive approach along with energy and enthusiasm
