The Palace Gardens will re-open on Monday 25th May 2020 at 10am until 5pm. Please note that social distancing, a one way system in parts of the gardens and limited numbers on site are all in place to ensure everyones wellbeing. You can purchase your admission ticket online prior to arrival.

12pm Joint Palace building and Gardens tour

11am* & 2pm Palace and Chapel Tour (30 mins)
12pm & 3pm Grounds Tour (45 mins)
*On the first Sunday of each month during the summer opening, a Geology tour will replace the Palace Tour at 11am for 1.5 hours, starting from the usual tour starting point by the Great Hall. Doug Robinson and Chris King will be conducting the geology tour.Geology tour dates: 5th April, 3rd May, 7th June, 5th July, 2nd Aug, 6th Sept
These tours are included in your admission ticket. Please meet just past the ticket gate by the guided tours’ signpost.
Partial/Full site closures 2020
On the rare occasion we need to fully or partly close The Bishop’s Palace to visitors for private hire, we will always list these dates on our events calendar and on this page. You are welcome to call us on 01749 988111 ext. 200 to double check we are open before you visit.
