The Bishop’s Palace is proud to welcome back Father and Mother Christmas for Christmas at the Palace 2023 and they are so excited to meet all the wonderful children from Wells and beyond!
Make your way through the decorated rooms of The Bishop’s Palace to find Mother and Father Christmas’ grotto.
Each family will have exclusive time with Father and Mother Christmas and receive a special Christmas gift.

SEND Family Day:
On Monday 18th December, The Bishop’s Palace will host a magical SEND Families day. During this time no audio will be played in the Palace buildings and each family will have their own timeslot with Father Christmas with less queuing.
Each family will be contacted ahead of time to discuss how we can best suit their individual needs and decide which gift option is best for their children. Tickets for SEND Family Day can be purchased HERE
Did you know…? The Bishop’s Palace offers a free carer ticket for individuals with additional needs.

Please note:
- Children must be accompanied at all times whilst on site and all adults accompanying children to visit Mother and Father Christmas will require a valid admission ticket or Membership. These can be purchased online or on the day of your visit.
- The Bishop’s Palace aims to make all visits to Father and Mother Christmas as magical as possible. Father and Mother Christmas tickets are always very popular and sell out extremely quickly.
Bishop’s Palace Members will be offered priority booking but unfortunately we cannot guarantee ticket availability.
‘Father and Mother Christmas’ is a fundraising event for the Palace Trust. The Bishop’s Palace is operated by The Palace Trust which is a registered charity. The cost of maintaining the Palace is principally met by visitor income but this doesn’t cover the entire cost of everyday maintenance.
