Christmas Storytelling with Michael Loader!
- 19th & 21st December 2023
- 11am & 1.30pm
THE LAST BOOKSHOP – A Christmas Story
Mrs and Mr Proepi own a bookshop of second hands and bric a brac, above the harbour in a seaside town.
The town is ‘bedevilled’ by Mr Tavernspite who pushes and promotes his very cheap and very nasty, soulless Christmas Wonderland attraction to make a tidy profit rather than offering generosity.
Three objects – “Magic?” I hear you ask – turn up unexpectedly on the doorstep of the shop and over the following days things begin to change…
Will materialism win the day or will Pennybont, a young girl dedicated to the Proepis and the true community spirit of Christmas, overcome the toxic Tavernspite?
A show with a tooting bugle, a magic lamp and imagination galore!
Get ready to join in with Songs, Dance and ACTION!
“The children loved Michael’s story and were riveted throughout – as were the teachers!”
“Michael had the children dancing and singing along – lots of fun with a serious message”
