Join The Bishop’s Palace & Gardens this August Bank Holiday Weekend and immerse yourself in 800 years of history.
Encamped in the stunning ruins of the Great Hall, you’ll discover historical re-enactment group and medieval weapons experts Bowlore.
Bowlore will be providing lively displays throughout the day, including demonstrations and choreographed combat. They will be using longbows, pallaxes, Dane hammers, Falchion & Langmesser to name but a few!
Make your way to The Black Dog, Bowlore’s weapons and armour tent, to get a glimpse of Medieval life. Members of the Bowlore troupe will be on hand throughout the day to share their expertise and answer questions.

Entrance to the Medieval Weekend is included in the price of general admission. Pay once and visit all year! Full-price tickets include 12 months re-entry to The Bishop’s Palace and Gardens (some event days excluded)
