Assistant Visitor Experience Manager
1258 annualised hours contract
Salary: £23,000 (pro rata)
The Bishop’s Palace is a 13th century medieval palace and has been home to the Bishops of Bath and Wells for over 800 years. The Palace is surrounded by a breath-taking moat, drawbridge and iconic gatehouse. It is a beautiful and inspirational place to work. As a charitable organisation our purpose is to conserve The Bishop’s Palace.
As the Assistant Visitor Experience Manager you will organise and deliver our public events programme including our yearly Garden Festival and Artisan Christmas Market. You will also act as Duty Manager on a rotational basis, supporting the front of house team in welcoming our visitors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Organising and delivering our public events programme
- Ensuring all visitors receive a high quality welcome and overall experience
- Take responsibility for site safety when acting as Duty Manager
- Responding to visitor queries and complaints.
You will have excellent customer service skills coupled with a clear organisational skills and self-motivation.
