Membership not only gives you access to the Palace – it also makes a direct contribution towards this unique 800 year old heritage site and helps to keep the Palace open for all to enjoy.
The Bishop’s Palace and Gardens is run by The Palace Trust, a registered charity which manages the site as a heritage visitor attraction. As stewards of this beautiful and historic place, our primary purpose is “to conserve The Bishop’s Palace and its story as a place of enjoyment and reflection for the benefit of all”.
So purchasing Membership not only gives you access to the Palace, a year-round programme of events and other benefits – your Membership also makes a direct contribution towards this unique 800 year old heritage site and helps to keep the Palace open for all to enjoy.
From family fun days, exhibitions, tours, talks and workshops and open air theatre there is so more to learn, see and enjoy at The Bishop’s Palace than first meets the eye.

Membership allows you to visit The Bishop’s Palace and gardens as many times as you like during normal opening times for 12 months. Plus you’ll receive the following benefits:

How To Buy
You can purchase your Membership online HERE
Or at the on site Ticket Office.
You can choose to either collect from the Ticket Office or have it posted to your door. Please bear in mind that it will take three working days to process Memberships before they will be ready for collection or postage.
If you would like your Membership posted to you please select £1.50 postage and packaging. If this is not added to your basket then your Membership will need to be collected from the Ticket Office on site.
If you require your Membership more quickly, we recommend you purchase it on site at the Ticket Office.
Your Membership will be valid from the date of purchase.
Sign up to pay by Direct Debit and freeze the cost of your annual renewal until Dec 2024*
Plus, your Membership will also be posted directly to your home address for no extra cost.
